This past Sunday, I went to Renfest! It's been nearly three years since I last went, so I hardly knew what to expect. This was also my first year going in full costume and let me tell you, it was a pain to get everything together! LOL! eBay to the rescue!!!

The Texas Renaissance Festival 2007!

I just got finished watching the first two discs of my recently received Bleach DVD Set. All I can say is...wow! ( My Impressions )

Just wanted to wish all of you a very happy and wonderful new year! Hard to believe it's 2007 already...and STILL no hovercars?! No moonbases??!! NO MECHA???!!! LOL! Proof positive that real life isn't an anime...no matter HOW MUCH I might want it to be!!!

But anyways, a very Happy New Year to you all and here's to hoping that I'll update more than TWICE in '07!!!

I swear to God, I can't put down that bloody series OR get the opening and ending theme songs out of my head! Azumanga Daioh is one AWESOMELY addictive series (almost as addictive as Mai-HiME...but not quite)! And the implied shoujo-ai that appears in the show...so much of it! It's totally great!!! My favorite character??? That would HAVE to be Osaka! I don't know...it just seems that we have alot in common (both of us are total oddballs and completely misinterpreted because of where we come from and the fact that we don't act like the stereotypes). I don't know if I can say I have a least favorite character because all of them have something likeable that makes them unhateable to me...well, except for maybe that weirdo teacher who always wants to see the girls in their swimsuits (can't recall his name right now). That guy is such a perv...but oddly enough, I can identify with that...

LOL!

I suppose what I'm trying to say is that Azumanga Daioh is a great anime to have in any collection. It's witty, naturally interesting (for a series that focuses exclusively on high school life and not saving the world or mecha battles), has very likeable characters and is just something really fun to watch without all the drama that bogs down some high school anime out there. In other words...

...I TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!

So, let me apologize for disappearing without nary a goodbye. For those of you who still consider me a friend and who's f-lists I'm still on, thank you for not axing my ass! LOL! I've just been really, REALLY busy lately and have been dealing with some...uh, drama...in my life. But hopefully, that's all gone and done! I've missed being on Lj and I hope to resume a more regular commenting/updating schedule!

Of course, the Homunculi are much, much more fleshed out, but I think you can see what I'm talking about. I wonder if Squenix and the Diz saw a couple of episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist and got uh...inspired by what they saw.

Please...don't ask. It's 3:45 in the morning and I'm still up, wired on I don't know what and staring blankly into my Kingdom Hearts II pause menu. Which, by the way, doesn't seem to be that big of a hit with a lot of people. Why? You got me. Personally, I like the game. It's fun and I absolutely love the God of War-like reactions commands! And that's to say nothing of that splendid opening cinema (inspired the as yet finished songfic, My Sanctuary)! All in all, I thought it was pretty well put together and it should be a fun ride from start to finish!

Alright everyone, I need a little feedback from you guys on a new fiction I'm working on. Okay, cutting to the chase, I saw the opening movie of Kingdom Hearts II and was so over-inspired by the song Sanctuary (by Utada Hikaru) that I decided to try something that I never thought that I would! That's right, I decided to try and write up a songfic! And at first, I figured I was doing a pretty good job. But then, I kind of got stuck and then began to read and reread what I had already written. It still seems good, but I'm just not too sure. So if you guys could offer a few opinions, I'd much appreciate it! I'd like to know if it's good enough to post to Fictionpress when I finish it (it's very much incomplete now).

Anyways, for those who have read either Akai Ame: the red rain or Yumi: Violent Tendencies, you will know pretty much what this little odd fic of mine is about. Strangely enough, after hearing Sanctuary for the second time, all I could imagine in my head was the character of Yumi in scenes played to the music. So, this kind of like a AMV for her, only written. Uh...does that make any sense???

Okay, I can't really go into detail about all the shit that's been going down in my life lately, but let me just say that it's left me with little to no time on my hands...well, until now. Almost all of this crap is nicely nestled in the 'family problems' area of annoying things! Suffice it to say, that's been the reason for my absense and semi-regular appearances around Lj. I know I owe a cubic crapload of comments...and I just want to say I'm sorry to all of you who took me in as a friend. Soon though, I'll be able to return full-time and I'll come back with a SERIOUS vengeance!!!

But as of now, it's semi-regular. I'll comment if I can, but if I don't...please forgive me...

Man, I cannot believe that I did this! Okay, so my sister sells me her old cellphone (yes...SELLS me her old cell! heh! so much for FAMILY ties!!!), which is cool. Being the cheap, cheap man that I am, I decide to use the phone cards that you can find practically anywhere (got mine from Wal-Mart for $20) to put minutes on my nice, semi-new cellphone. So, me being the dummy I am, decide that I can pull this off without a need for my sister (who is younger, by the way) to be around. I log onto the Virgin Mobile site and use the 'top-up' function to add minutes to the cell...using the phone number that was listed in the cell's information area. The problem? My sister had that phone number transferred to HER NEW cellphone!!!! ARGH!!!! I basically handed my $20 phone card minutes to her!!!!

*Hangs head in shame and embarrassment*

So now, I get to live with her and my brother-in-law laying into me about it every chance they get! *Laughs* So much for my boasts on being the smartest out of me and my two sisters!!!! Man, karma's a bitch...
